Omihi Rise Pinot NoirOmihi Rise Pinot Noir 2011 - 91+/100 Wine Advocate issue # 197
The 2009 Omihi Rise Pinot Noir has a medium ruby-purple hue and youthfully mute aromas of red plums and red currants over macerated cherries, forest floor, black truffles and raw meat. Medium to full bodied, the palate is led by a solid structure of medium-firm grainy tannins and crisp acid with concentrated fruit and earth layers finishing long with the faintest suggestion of menthol. The palate is equally engaging with magnificent fruit power backed by velvety mouthfeel. Multi-layered and attractively savoury.
